'President' Obama gets an early start

So it's come to this..even though he is not President yet (read, he is still President-elect) the MSM cannot wait to call him president. They don't even care that the "memorable" lines came from other presidents. The guy wouldn't know an original idea if it warned him ahead of time. What do you think would be the MSM response if President Bush would have a few lines in a speech that sounded vaguely familiar as coming from previous presidents?

Pro-Life Lessons in Baptism

This weekend, we celebrate the Lord’s Baptism, and reflect on the meaning of baptism itself. This sacrament gives us many pro-life lessons.
When we baptize a baby, it proves that God chooses us before we choose him, for every life belongs to him.
And baptism is not just about that baby, but about the whole church welcoming her. All the members of the Church extend their hearts and arms in welcome of that new life. Baptism shows that we are always called to give a welcoming “YES” to life, and never the harsh “no” of abortion.
The so-called “prochoice” message is that we choose whom we will care for. Baptism teaches us that we are responsible even for those that we do not choose.

Tavis Smiley of PBS: 'We're All Working For Barack Obama "

Chris Matthews won't be working alone.  Back in November, the Hardball host said it was his job to make Barack Obama's presidency a success.  Today, another TV journalist expressed a similar sentiment. Tavis Smiley has declared that "we're all working for Barack Obama" and that "we have to help make Obama a great president." [H/t reader dronetek.]
The host of Tavis Smiley on PBS was a guest on Morning Joe.  Reacting to Harry Reid's claim last week that he doesn't work for Barack Obama, Smiley said Reid should "put down the crack pipe."  Smiley added "we're all working for Barack Obama."
