This explains a lot (Updated)

Remember Nefarious Nichole Wallace? She's the former McCain staffer who was assigned to be one of the "handlers" of then-vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin. It was none other than Nefarious Nichole who arranged the Palin interview with her former CBS buddy Katie Couric. It was later learned that Couric prepped for her ambush of Gov. Palin by studying with then-candidate Barack Obama's informal chief advisor Sam Nunn.

Wallace has also been named by multiple sources as the bright idea behind the RNC's purchase of $150,000 in clothes for the Palins which they never asked for, and Wallace's is the name which surfaced most often as one of the sources inside the McCain campaign who "leaked" lies to the media that the governor didn't know Africa was a continent or that she was not able to name the members of NAFTA. They were foolish lies for Wallace to tell, because Gov. Palin was required to follow NAFTA guidelines to conclude her agreement with a Canadian company for a gas pipeline deal, and she has been involved in her church's extensive relief and missionary work in Africa.

For the record, Wallace has denied being the source of the leaks. But if anyone has any doubts that she was a saboteur on the inside of the McCain campaign, let them read this. It's pretty clear now where her sympathies have been all along.

Update: Erick Erickson, my boss at RedState.com and Commander of Operation Leper has read Nicole Wallace's shout out to Republicans to get on the abortionist-in-chief's love train, and he is not pleased.
